About Lab
Work in the Laboratory of Structural Biology of G-protein Coupled Receptors is focused on structural and functional research of G-protein Coupled Receptors (GPCR). We apply a multi-disciplinary, structural biological approach, we combine computational methods with numerous biophysical techniques (crystallography, fluorescence of single molecules, electron microscopy, NMR, mass spectrometry, etc.) in order to find an answer to questions concerning the mechanisms of ligand recognition and signal transfer in GPCR. This project conducts a focused and comprehensive structure-function research on highly important but previously untackled targets from the GPCR superfamily. The results of these studies will provide scientists with essential information for designing new generation drugs with higher efficacy and minimal side effects.
