About Lab
Molecular Genetics Laboratory was established in the fall of 2014 as part of the International Center for Basic Research. Currently is a part of the Research center for molecular mechanisms of Aging and Age-related Diseases.
Field of research:
- Genetics of bacteria.
- Construction of producers of cellular metabolites and proteins.
- Design of whole-cell biosensors. The study of "quorum sensing" systems, chaperones, anti-restriction enzymes, peroxal enzymes.

For students of the Department of Biophysics of Phystech-school of General and Applied Physics and other faculties, the forces of the laboratory conduct:
- Workshop on genetic engineering;
- An annual summer biological practice and a school for young scientists on the White Sea, in the framework of which the field biophysics course has been taught since 2016 and field research is carried out.
